On April 1st, US time, the winners of the Lightwave Innovation Reviews, the annual innovation award in optical communications, were announced concurrently with the OFC exhibition, Changguang Huaxin 100G PAM4 VCSEL chip won the award.

850nm 100G PAM4 VCSEL chip
Changguang Huaxin's 850nm 100G PAM4 VCSEL chip product was released in September 2024, matching top industry levels in key characteristics such as bandwidth and RIN:

Typical bandwidth at room temperature is 28GHz, typical RIN value < -150dB/Hz;

Wavelength < 863nm, meeting IEEE 50m OM4 multimode fiber transmission standard requirements;

Excellent anti-reflection performance ensures customer modules operate with no BER jumps across the full temperature range of 0-70℃;
Meets 400G VR4/SR4/AOC, 800G VR8/SR8/AOC applications. The product has completed reliability certification strictly according to GR468 standards. The wafer products have shown excellent performance and high yield in customer validation.
Iterative product
850nm 100G PAM4 VCSEL (SR)
On March 14, 2025, Changguang Huaxin released the iterative product 850nm 100G PAM4 VCSEL (SR), optimizing the original design to achieve an increased transmission distance from 50m to 100m, effectively improving wiring flexibility and space utilization, reducing relay equipment, lowering power consumption and operating costs, decreasing failure points, and enhancing system reliability and stability, representing the current leading level of domestic chips!
